For most apprenticeships the wage is
calculated as a percentage of the adult wage, dependent on the year or level of the apprentice and to which formal wages arrangement engaged.
1st year apprentice wages can range from approximately
$247 to $352 per week ($12,844 to $18,304 per year). 4th year apprentice wages can range from approximately
$552 to $789 per week ($28,704 to $41,028 per year).A plumbing apprentice will be paid under a State or Federal Award, Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA) or an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.(EBA)
