• Assess the eligibility of your apprentice/trainee to participate in an Apprenticeship in Plumbing.
• Ensure that your apprentice/trainee is employed under correct employment conditions ie. Wages, WorkCover etc.
Register your apprentice through a
New Apprenticeship Centre (NAC).
• Select a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)/TAFE College who will work with you to successfully manage the apprenticeship.
• Work with your apprentice and RTO to determine the best training plan to suit both you and your employee.
• Complete the appropriate forms that you receive from the NAC. The Training Agreement and the Assessment (purple form). If you have any difficulties completing these forms please contact your New Apprenticeship Consultant.
• Check all forms to ensure that all sections are completed correctly and that the Apprentice, yourself and the RTO have signed all areas.
• Apply for any incentives that you are eligible for after the appropriate period. Your New Apprenticeships Consultants will advise you on what incentives you are eligible to receive and when to apply.
